Ensoniq ESQ1

via this auction
"The auction includes the (thick!) manual, a CD which enables you to restore the factory patches (tape dump), and an expansion card "ESQ Voice-80 Vol. 4" with 2 additional banks of sounds. I'm seeing these cards alone on eBay right now for $65-85 a piece!

Ensoniq's ESQ-1 is an affordable alternative to a vintage polyphonic analog synthesizer. It uses digital oscillator waveforms for reliable and stable sound generation, and the digital output is processed through a Curtis analog voltage-controlled filter and VCA stages. The end result is the ESQ-1's unique and beloved character, combining digital grit with analog warmth."
