"The Dark Star is an 8-voice 5-part multi-timbral virtual analog synthesizer with a wicked-fun joystick in the middle for controlling filter cutoff & resonance as well as other parameters. Programming is a snap thanks to all the knobs and buttons on the front panel, and it features indispensable goodies like tempo-synced LFOs and audio inputs that can be run through the filters. The DarkStar XP2 can also be expanded with some additional boards, one of which adds a vocoder (none included)."
