"Akai was wise when they made these units...they decided to use true VCO's not DCO's and these makes a big difference in how these sound. The VX90 is great at making those big analog brass and string sounds, and it is midi controlled. If you want that warm analog 90's sound, without taking up much studio real estate like many of the big polysynths do, then this is your answer."
