KORG MS-10

via this auction
"Its strength is in the unique 12db lowpass filter and extremely snappy envelopes. Similar to an ms-20 but perhaps more so, the filter resonates with a thick rumble and then after a point will sort of feedback on itself and add unique harmonics to the sound. After a bit of practice using the strange envelope configuration, you can create powerful drum sounds quite easily, kick drums electro-toms, kraftwerky zaps and claps, you can sample drum sounds all day. The bass sounds are also very impressive, from fat and rubbery to speaker shredding, there is no need for more oscillators to add fatness with the korgs filter. anyone who enjoys the 'pushy' sound of a tb-303 or sh-101 will love the korg because it can do those kinds of sound very well, and doesn't have endless contols to get lost in. The lfo waveshape knob allows you to morph between variable pulse waves and ramp waves for a variety of 'crazy' sound effects, or basic tremolos for more musical lead sounds. Patching is useful to access functions like pwm and noise modulation, happy accidents can happen here as well as plugging in external instruments for processing, plug in a bass guitar or electric piano or drum loops and great sounds come out."

KORG Mini-Korg 700s

via this auction

"This is one Korg's earliest synths and seems to have had a variety of names. It has been called the Korg 700s, the Univox K-2, and the Mini-Korg 2. This particular unit is labeled Univox on the back, K-2 on the rear plate, and Mini-Korg 2 on the control surface. I believe the various names have to do with the process of Keio Electronic Lab becoming Korg and how they were distributing in the U.S. Most commonly, I've seen this referred to as the MiniKorg 700s.
