"Originally released in 1986, the E-mu SP 12 is widely regarded as having ushered in the age of digital sampling, as it was one of the first digital samplers in production. The SP 12 Turbo, for sale here, offers 4.9 seconds of sampling time, which doubled the amount possible with the original SP 12 and quadrupled the onboard memory. Still looked at as highly collectible, this machine is in nearly perfect aesthetic and working condition. This machine came before the SP 1200, and was used by many of the hip-hop greats. If you want to capture that 12 bit sound without investing in the hard-to-find and crazy-expensive SP 1200, this would be a good option."
