Casio CSM-1 digital sound module
via this auction
"It’s basically a rack style desktop unit of the famously loved Casiotone keyboards and similar sounding Yamahas which people love to circuit bend and use in minimal house music. The difference with this unit is, it has professional sized stereo out jacks, and midi in – out – and thru. And it multitimbral by four midi channels. And has mixing volume sliders. The unit is encased in a nice feeling metal shell round tops and sides. It’s a really funky sounding machine, and has lots of possibilities when you drive it by midi as opposed to playing via a toyish keyboard. Would be a great partner with a Groove box or MPC sequencer, and nice fed through some effect units."
