Based on the same groundbreaking Axyz interface as the Air FX, the Air Synth can be layered with sound sources or used on its own as a dramatic, free-standing performance instrument. A simple wave of the hand triggers 50 wild programs from musical instruments to environmental noises.
Passing your hand over the black sphere activates the Air Synth control unit, tweaking up to 5 different parameters, resulting in dramatic synthesized sound. The air synth includes 50 staccato, percussive, legato continuous pads, drum sounds and sounds that emulate things in nature. The simple user "third eye" consists of a single knob, which is used to select, engage, bypass, freeze and release a given sound, and an LED that indicates the current program. 
Playing the Air Synth involves pressing the knob to engage the effect and then moving a hand through the invisible infrared sphere to create sounds."
